Required Materials:

·         Approved safety goggles, not glasses.  If you do not have goggles, you cannot participate in the lab.

·         Laboratory Notebook with pre-numbered pages and carbonless copies

·         Scientific non-graphing calculator

Preparing for Lab:

·         You must download and print the CHM152LL laboratory experiments from the CHM152LL website (http://glory.gc.maricopa.edu/~ksmith/chm152LL.htm) before coming to lab.  There is a convenient link from the Chemistry Department main page.

·         If you are downloading the experiments from off-campus, you need to install a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html) on your computer to view and print these documents.

·         You will need your eGCC username and password to access the lab experiments.  If you don’t know them, go to the High Tech Center 2 and swipe your GCC student ID card that you received from the enrollment center.

·         You are expected to READ the experiment and prepare a prelab in your lab notebook if required. (See schedule for the experiments which require a prelab assignment)  If you do not have the lab handout you will be docked 10 points.

·         You must wear closed-toe shoes and clothing that covers your shoulders and your torso past your knees.  If you do not wear appropriate clothing you will be docked 10 points on your lab report and must borrow an apron to wear.  If you wear improper shoes, you will be docked 10 points on your lab report and must wear booties over your shoes.
